Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone
here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water, and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill or old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who has to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes whe one suddenly stops and looks into the distance.
His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he runs from the group, flying over the grass, his legs carring him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be apart again, The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone but never absent from your heart.
Then, you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

We had been friends my entire adult life. She's gone but never forgotten. She will be in my heart forever.
Dear Lord, Please open your gates and call St. Francis to come escort this beloved companion across the Rainbow Bridge.
Assign her to a place of honor, for she has been a faithful servant and has always done her best to please me.
Bless the hands that send her to you, for they are doing so in love and compassion, freeing her from pain and suffering.
Grant me the strength not to dwell on my loss. Help me to remember the details of her life with the love she has shown me.
And grant me the courage to honor her by sharing those memories with others.
Let her remember me as well and let her know that I will always love her. And when it's my turn to pass over to your paradise, please allow her to accompany those who will bring me home.

for the gift of her companionship and the time we've had together.
And thank you, Lord,
for granting me the strength to give her to you now.

Freakle's 2010-2012 I can't tell you how much this dog will be miss. We lost her due to a tragic accident. Best little dog ever.
